What characterizes our Science with Children courses?

Our science courses at the Bambini Learning Center are something very special because they are specially designed to get young explorers excited about the fascinating world of scientific phenomena from an early age. From kindergarten age, we take the children on an exciting journey full of experiments, discoveries and aha moments.

Even the youngest children can playfully discover the world of living creatures, seasons and weather phenomena with us. They explore how wind and weather are connected and learn about the basic elements of nature, their forces and interactions. Through exciting experiments, such as exploring electricity or observing chemical reactions, the children can experience at first hand how nature works. They gain valuable experience of nature, whether by observing insects or testing forces and magnetism.

We promote the children’s inquiring minds by encouraging them to ask their own questions, develop ideas and find solutions. Our experienced educators are on hand with educational and technical advice and support and accompany the children in their individual learning process. Whether observing insects, researching with magnifying glasses or experimenting with the earth – in our courses, every child becomes a little scientist.

These early discoveries lay a solid foundation for later science lessons at school. Our courses not only encourage children’s interest in science, but also stimulate their curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills – all in a safe, creative and playful environment. With a caring and playful approach, we lay an important foundation for your child’s future scientific development right from kindergarten age.

Why is it important for my child to discover science at an early age?

It is particularly valuable when children discover science at an early age, as it awakens their curiosity and spirit of exploration. Imagine your child watching a butterfly with shining eyes and asking questions like: “Why does it fly so high?” It is precisely at these moments that the amazement begins and your child learns through their own experience.

Early exposure to scientific phenomena at kindergarten age is particularly important as it enables children to develop their first scientific ideas and concepts. Children in daycare centers are particularly curious at this age and want to understand how the world works. Here, our experienced specialists can arouse the children’s interest through exciting experiments with everyday substances such as baking powder or liquids from the kitchen.

Interesting experiments are carried out together with the children: We playfully explain how magnets work, discover the fascinating properties of volcanoes or go on a journey through the body. This is not only exciting, but also teaches the children their first basic scientific concepts in a fun way.

In our educational area, we attach great importance to giving the children the opportunity to actively experiment and ask their own questions. By explaining and describing phenomena, the children learn to put their observations into words, which further develops their language skills. Our program is all about trying out different senses, early scientific experiences and individual support for each child. This is because the appropriate courses support the natural urge to explore and the children can engage with sustainable processes and the environment from an early age.

How can nursery children be introduced to science and geography?

In our daycare center and our afternoon program, we offer the children a variety of opportunities to discover nature and its interactions. Through experiments, such as with gravity or other phenomena, we take a first look at the world of science. In doing so, we encourage the children’s perception and impart their first scientific knowledge.

Discovering plants, animals and materials in their environment arouses curiosity and deepens their understanding of the connections in the world. When experimenting with water, sand or other materials, children playfully learn to compare volume and weight. Joint explorations motivate them to ask questions and find their own solutions – an important step towards creative thinking.

As educators, we accompany this discovery process through targeted observations and discussions, strengthen the children’s self-confidence and help them to explore the world with curiosity and openness.

What age group are the science courses suitable for?

The science courses at the Bambini Learning Center are specially designed for toddlers and children aged 3 to 6 years. Your child does not have to go to our kindergarten to take part – children who attend other facilities are also very welcome. Especially at kindergarten age, children are full of curiosity and a thirst for discovery, and our courses tap into this enthusiasm. With exciting projects and age-appropriate activities, we invite young explorers to investigate the wonders of nature and science.

Through creative experiments, such as mixing colors or observing magnets, we create an inspiring environment in which children can marvel, learn and discover their first scientific principles. They develop basic thinking processes, such as linking cause and effect, and experience how much fun science can be.

Our courses encourage an initial interest in math, technology and natural phenomena. With imagination and joy, we show the children how exciting research can be. Our qualified specialists accompany each child individually and ensure that the children can learn at their own pace and strengthen their self-confidence – without any pressure.

How do the science courses at the Bambini Learning Center for children work?

Our science courses for children are a real highlight, providing exciting discoveries after the daycare routine. In small groups, the children immerse themselves in the world of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics with a great deal of curiosity and enjoyment. The focus is on practical experiments and playful learning – because we know that children learn most easily when they are allowed to try things out for themselves.

In the afternoons directly after daycare or in our vacation courses, the little researchers explore phenomena that surround them every day: Why do objects sink in water but others stay on top? What happens when baking soda and vinegar come together? Through exciting experiments and targeted stimuli, the children learn to formulate hypotheses, carry out experiments and question the results – always accompanied by our caring specialist staff. Here, we pay attention to the children’s research and support them in situations where they develop their own ideas and questions.

Our courses are designed to awaken and encourage the children’s natural interest. Our teachers give them the time and space they need to find solutions independently, develop skills and recognize connections. Detailed information on the times and topics of our afternoon and vacation courses can be found in the course descriptions – take a look!

What happens if my child does not understand an experiment or has difficulties?

No problem! In our science courses at the Bambini Learning Center, we take an individual approach to each child and ensure that the learning process is always in line with the child’s needs and stage of development. We know that children learn at different speeds and that everyone has their own way of grasping new concepts.

That’s why our courses are designed to be age-appropriate and playful. We focus on amazement and research, and we make sure that children are never overwhelmed with overly complex tasks. If a child doesn’t immediately understand an experiment, that’s completely fine! We create an environment in which curiosity and interest can develop without pressure.

Our educators and instructors specialize in teaching the experiments in an understandable and playful way. We use illustrative pictures, stories or small experiments to make the topics simple and tangible. If an experiment does not immediately have the desired “aha effect”, we take the time to explain the phenomenon further and show other perspectives. In doing so, we turn learning into an exciting adventure and always offer new approaches.

Through this playful approach, we not only promote the children’s understanding of science, but also their self-confidence. They learn that it is perfectly okay if something is not immediately successful or understood – because this is exactly where the opportunity to discover and learn new things lies. Our aim is to awaken an interest in research while supporting the children at their own pace and maintaining their enthusiasm.

We work continuously to ensure that every child has a positive learning experience where knowledge emerges naturally. With our loving care, we ensure that every child can discover the great adventure of science at their own pace and in a way that suits them. In this way, every experiment becomes a small sense of achievement that makes children proud and encourages them to continue exploring and discovering.

What topics are covered in the science courses?

In our science courses, we offer children a wide range of exciting and varied topics from the fields of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. Each topic is prepared in such a way that it is not only fun for the children, but also promotes their understanding of the world around them in a playful and understandable way. We cater to the children’s natural curiosity and ensure that they are proud to embark on each adventure:

    • In the physics section, children immerse themselves in exciting experiments with magnetism and learn about the fascinating forces of magnets. They discover how things float or attract each other and understand the principles of attraction and repulsion in a playful way. The topic of sound and light is also explored – the children listen to sounds and experiment with different materials to understand how sound is created and propagated. When exploring light and colors, the children experiment with different light sources, mirrors and color filters and experience the world of colors and light refraction.
    • In chemistry, the children deal with basic chemical reactions, for example by observing the fascinating reaction of baking powder and vinegar or experimenting with food coloring and water. These simple but exciting experiments spark an interest in the invisible processes that take place every day in our environment. The children learn how substances react with each other and what chemical changes can occur in the process.
    • Biology is all about discovering nature. Here, the children explore the world of plants and animals, observe the growth of plants and learn how different creatures interact with each other. It gets particularly exciting when the children observe insects themselves, learn about the life cycles of animals and find out how animals get along in their habitats. With the help of magnifying glasses and microscopes, the children can look at the smaller details of nature up close and understand how life on earth works.
    • Another important topic is the weather. In our courses, the children learn why a volcano erupts, how a rainbow is formed and why the wind blows. They learn to interpret the signs of the weather and discover how weather phenomena are interconnected. The topic of the seasons is also dealt with in connection with weather phenomena. Children experience and understand how nature changes throughout the year.
    • Last but not least, we also cover basic mathematical concepts. Through experiments in which the shapes, sizes and volumes of objects are examined, the children learn simple mathematical relationships in a playful way. They experience how numbers and shapes play a role in everyday life and how they are used in nature.

Each topic is presented in an educational and child-friendly way by combining it with playful experiments, craft activities and observations. In this way, the children experience science at first hand and can discover the various phenomena for themselves. Through these practical, active approaches, we not only promote the children’s understanding of science, but also their problem-solving skills and creativity. This gives the children the opportunity to engage with a variety of scientific topics and gain valuable experience that will accompany them on their further educational path.

Do children need to bring anything with them to take part in the science courses?

Your children don’t need to bring anything – we take care of everything! The materials required for the experiments, such as paints, water, soil, small equipment and many other exciting things, are explained in the respective course descriptions. This means that the kindergarten children can concentrate fully on exploring and discovering, as we provide everything they need.
